Privacy Policy

Summary
This website collects almost nothing. It has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics trackers, and no cookies. The contact form runs entirely on your device and sends us nothing until you choose to send it yourself. If your family later engages Vantor, everything we learn is held in confidence: we never sell your information, we never share it without express written consent, and we never use student work or client information to train AI or machine-learning systems. The narrow exceptions, described below, are the service providers an engagement needs, disclosure the law compels, and protecting someone from serious harm.
Who we are
Vantor Consulting (“Vantor,” “we,” “us”) is a one-to-one research and science-competition consultancy operated by its founders in the United States. You can reach us through the contact page. This policy covers this website; work with client families is additionally governed by a written engagement agreement provided before any engagement begins.
What this website collects
We do not set cookies, run analytics, serve ads, or embed third-party trackers. The site stores one small flag in your browser's session storage if you dismiss the consultation bar, so it stays dismissed while you browse; that flag never leaves your browser and disappears when you close the tab.
Like most websites, the servers that deliver this site keep standard technical logs, such as IP address, pages requested, and time of request, for security and reliability. We do not use these logs to identify or profile visitors.
The contact form
The contact form composes an introduction note on your device and hands it to your own sharing or email tools. Nothing you type is submitted to or stored by this website. What you choose to send reaches us as an ordinary message from you, and we use it to respond to your inquiry and assess fit. If you would rather share nothing in advance, that is fine; the first conversation is complimentary either way.
Once you send your note, your message and our replies are ordinary correspondence between you and us, and this policy covers that correspondence, not just what happens in your browser. If your family does not end up engaging Vantor, we keep your inquiry only as long as reasonably needed to respond and follow up, and then we delete it; you can also ask us through the contact page to delete an inquiry sooner, and we will, unless the law requires us to keep a record.
We do not keep mailing lists, we do not send marketing messages, and sending an inquiry never signs you up for anything.
How we protect information
Our first protection is collecting very little in the first place. This site keeps no visitor database, no accounts, and no stored form submissions; the only records connected to a visit are the standard hosting logs described earlier in this policy. Messages you choose to send reach us through your own email or sharing tools. What families share with us is kept in access-controlled accounts, and we keep access limited to the people working directly with your family. Even so, no way of sending or storing information is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise absolute security. If we ever learn that information about your family has been exposed, we will tell you promptly and plainly.
If your family engages Vantor
The information an engagement involves is what your family chooses to share with us: the student's name, grade, and school; research ideas, drafts, data, and competition materials; and scheduling and correspondence. A family may also choose to share school records, such as transcripts or grade reports, and we hold those in the same confidence as everything else shared under an engagement.
Engagements are governed by a written agreement signed by a parent or guardian, and that agreement controls if it differs from this page. Our standing commitments apply regardless:
- We never sell client information.
- We never share client information or student work without express written consent, apart from three narrow exceptions spelled out just below this list, and engagements are confidential.
- We do not use student data, student work product, or client communications to train AI or machine-learning models, and we will only work through service providers (such as video conferencing and document tools) configured so that they do not either.
- Student research data and work product are deleted within 90 days after an engagement ends unless the parent asks us in writing to preserve them for future competition cycles.
- Records of the engagement itself, such as the signed agreement, invoices, and correspondence, are retained for as long as the law reasonably requires and then deleted.
The three exceptions, in full. First, the service providers an engagement genuinely needs, such as video conferencing and document tools, which we hold to the commitments on this page. Second, disclosures that a valid legal process, such as a law, court order, or subpoena, compels: we disclose only the minimum actually required, and unless the law prevents it we will tell you before we disclose anything, so your family has the chance to object first. Third, serious danger: if we ever reasonably believe a student or anyone else is at risk of serious harm, we will share only what is needed with the people in a position to help, involving the parent or guardian wherever possible.
Children
This website is directed at parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this site, and the contact form is designed to be completed by a parent. Our services involve students, most of whom are minors, but the contracting party is always a parent or guardian, and information about a student is provided to us by the family under the engagement agreement.
If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, whether through the contact form or any other way, please tell us through the contact page and we will delete it promptly.
International visitors
We are based in the United States, and information you send us is processed in the United States. If you contact us from the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with data-protection laws, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to your local supervisory authority. We honor these requests for all visitors and clients, wherever you live, and we are preparing our international compliance posture for attorney review alongside our client agreements.
Your choices and rights
You can browse this site without providing any personal information at all. To ask what information we hold about you or your family, or to request correction or deletion, contact us through the contact page and we will respond promptly. Deletion requests are honored except where we are legally required to retain a record.
Because our services involve students, most of whom are minors, we will take reasonable steps to confirm that anyone asking to see, change, or delete information is who they say they are, and is entitled to ask, before we act. This protects your family's information from requests made by someone else. Usually this is as simple as replying from the address we already use to correspond with you.
If the business changes shape
Vantor is run today by its founders. We expect to form a company to carry the work forward, and any business can one day be reorganized, transferred, or acquired. If any of that happens, the promises on this page travel with your information. We will pass inquiry or client information to a successor only if the successor agrees in writing to honor these commitments, including the promises never to sell client information, never to share it without express written consent, and never to use it to train AI or machine-learning systems. A change in business form never weakens anything promised here. Client families will be told directly before any change like this takes effect, and anyone can ask us to delete their information first, as described under Your choices and rights.
Changes to this policy
If the site starts collecting anything new, such as analytics or a server-backed contact form, we will update this policy in the same release and change the date below. Material changes affecting client families will also be communicated directly.
